After receiving my undergraduate degree from The College of William and Mary in 2007, I moved to Columbus and spent the next decade teaching aerial fitness and dance. A friend then introduced me to Pilates and it was love at first class! I am comprehensively trained through BASI Pilates and hold additional certificates in Pilates for Injuries and Pathologies, Pilates for Neurological Conditions and Oov Fundamentals. I currently attend the Laban/Bartenieff Institute of Movement Studies in NYC and will graduate as a professional Certified Movement Analyst in June 2023.
As an instructor, I love collaborating with clients to set both short- and long-term objectives geared toward improving function, increasing efficiency of movement, supporting daily activities and having FUN! I am so thrilled to be part of the team at Fitness Matters and look forward to helping you achieve your fitness goals.

I began my journey on the mat in the early 1980’s after being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Instead of going on medication for my MS, I decided to create a life of wellness and good health. After being introduced to Pilates and yoga, I realized I had found something special that made me feel better physically, emotionally and reduced stress from my everyday life. In 2003, after retiring from a 28 year career as an Audiologist, I decided to pursue my teacher certification in Pilates and yoga in order to share the physical and emotional healing powers which I have experienced for many years.

I grew up in Westerville and studied dance with Ballet Met and Ohio State University. I then followed my studies to Indiana University where I graduated with a BSOF in Ballet and Kinesiology in 2000. After graduation I moved to New York City where I danced professionally with Heidi Latsky Dance and several other modern companies. It was in New York City I found my love of Pilates.
In 2001, I achieved my Stott Pilates certification at Pilates on Fifth in Manhattan.
