Evan joined the Fitness Matters team in 2024 with over a decade of personal training and group fitness experience. He holds a Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology from Florida Atlantic University (2013) and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA-CSCS). Additionally, Evan has earned the world-renowned Fellow of Applied Functional Science (Gray Institute-FAFS) credential, which features over 500 hours of in-depth study of chain reaction biomechanics.
More importantly, Evan takes great pride in getting to know you – your unique goals, your unique personality, your unique body, your strengths and weaknesses, and more – and is determined to help you achieve success.

After spending time at Northwestern University as well as the University of Pittsburgh as a strength coach, I moved back to Columbus to work with the Fitness Matters team as a Personal Trainer. I began my journey with Fitness Matters in 2000. After completing my Bachelors Degree from Bowling Green State University in Kinesiology, I began the process of continuing education by completing the Resistance Training Specialist (RTS) program. I utilize these physics and biomechanical principles each and everyday by guiding clients through exercises that are designed to help gain function and help them live life.
I have been passionate about fitness since my childhood when I was first exposed to stregth training.
