Ashley Wright , PT, DPT
I knew I wanted to be a physical therapist from a very young age. As a gymnast for most of my childhood and teenage years, I had several rounds of physical therapy and understood the impact physical therapists have on getting athletes back to doing what they love. As I learned more about physical therapy though, I realized the scope of care of a physical therapist encompasses so much more than just athletes and return to sport. While my background is in orthopedic physical therapy, I have a special interest the treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction. I have found that both orthopedic and pelvic floor physical therapy often can go hand in hand in the treatment of the entire body. The variety of people I now have the opportunity to help achieve their goals every day is one of my favorite things about my job.
I received my Bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University in Nutrition and Exercise Science and my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Dayton. In my free time, I enjoy running, traveling and volunteering for a local service dog organization. I believe wholeheartedly that exercise is medicine and that each patient’s care should be individualized and focused on their specific goals and overall wellness. I can’t wait to meet you and help you on your journey!
